Thank you for your interest in the G.T. Steitz Ideal Teammate Awards!
Our goal is to exceed 1,000 contributors to the George T. Steitz Ideal Teammate Awards. We will not report how much each person contributes; please just contribute. I'd like Coach to simply know how many persons have contributed to his Award. I'm confident that the money will take care of itself. (The awards to be received by the awarded students are not scholarships, though we hope the funds will be used to pursue career aims of each individual recipient.) In addition to contributing, please spread the word to others.
Please donate to the worthy program by clicking the "DONATE" button or link below.

After landing on Utah Beach as part of the D-Day Invasion force, George made his way to Paris, then to Northern France, the Ardennes, the Rhineland and finally to Central Europe.
After college, George first landed a teaching position at Palmyra-Macedon where his first baseball team went 22-0.. He eventually relocated to Penfield where he continued his winning ways, ultimately scoring over 1,200 combined sport wins!
Coach Steitz retired from coaching and teaching but still keeps in touch with his Alumni. Here he is enjoying some time with some of the Penfield High School class of '73.

Donations for the Ideal Teammate Awards are being graciously accepted and processed by the Penfield Education Foundation.
The Penfield Education Foundation was established in 2016 by a group of community, faculty and parent leaders who believe that education is at the heart of our community.
As a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, the Foundation raises funds to support grants for innovative programs that are not supported through the District’s own budget and to support awards and scholarships to further the education of Penfield Central School District students.
The mission of the Penfield Education Foundation is to gather and administer funding and resources through our community to provide grants, awards and scholarships to enhance learning opportunities for all students attending Penfield Central Schools.
The Penfield Education Foundation sponsors a grant program to directly impact the learning experience for students in the district.
The Penfield Education Foundation offers scholarships and awards for graduating seniors at Penfield High School.
