Message from Michael Glor

Thank you for your interest in the G.T. Steitz Ideal Teammate Awards!

Our goal is to exceed 1,000 contributors to the George T. Steitz Ideal Teammate Awards. We will not report how much each person contributes; please just contribute. I'd like Coach to simply know how many persons have contributed to his Award. I'm confident that the money will take care of itself. (The awards to be received by the awarded students are not scholarships, though we hope the funds will be used to pursue career aims of each individual recipient.) In addition to contributing, please spread the word to others.

Please donate to the worthy program by clicking the "DONATE" button or link below.

Coach Steitz's Memoir

From Corporal to Coach. A Memoir of the Life of George T. Steitz.

This memoir is a hardcover book that was ghost written by Mike Glor in 2024 following Coach's attendance to the Penfield High School's Class of 1973 50th Reunion. Mike spent over ten hours in four days interviewing Coach. Many additional hours were spent collecting, collating and fact checking materials given him by Coach, and also material he obtained from many others. Included in the book are Coach's own memories and stories as told by him. Also included are many communications and memories shared by generations of his students that stand as a testament to the great admiration, love and appreciation they have for him.

Anyone who contributes $250 or more and would like a copy of the Coach's memoir should email mglor44 @ gmail.com
